Dad`s Diner in Fidalgo Island

Super busy but we were lucky !!!! Good service, sizable portions and super tasty food!!! I need to try to reproduce the biscuits :) love the theme of the restaurant as well :) all local Dads pictures hang on the wall - stop in and eat well!

Authentic Ybor cuban, great atmosphere and friendly staff! Would recommend to anyone.

A 'killer' place! We stopped in for quick breakfast and it was fantastic! Having traveled extensively all over the Southern US for BBQ competitions I do know bisquits & gravy - and this was simply the best I have ever had! My wife had the brisket & eggs and it was equally as good. If you are in Anacortes, make the time to stop by for the food!

Food was excellent, can't say enough. I had the bar-b-Cuban. Very good. My son had some biscuits and gravy. The gravy was the best I ever had.

Hands down the best breakfast in Anacortes. Name says Diner, reality is excellent upscale food. We went for breakfast. I ordered the French toast. We were there when it was very busy on a Saturday morning. There was a long line at the door and service was a little slow. I recommend this place for breakfast.

Just awesome. We went based on reviews for a late breakfast on a Saturday morning. Waited about 20 minutes for a table. Staff extremely friendly and attentive despite how busy they were. Food options are fantastic. Big flavors, big servings and very unique tastes. Food was hot and so tasty. Would highly recommend

First time here and OMG.. its a must do!! Food was amazing, staff was awesome and you can definitely tell that everything’s made from scratch. HUGE portions and yummy mimosas :)

Was not impressed at all. Let's start with the good, what little there was. The service was great, the staff was very kind and friendly. Onto the bad, the food. First off the coffee, it tasted like tap water with a little bit of coffee grounds stirred in and they called it coffee. I ordered the dad's plate, was very disappointed with pretty much every aspect of it. The bread arrived cold, I ordered the eggs medium and they were overcooked. The bacon was flavorless and soggy. The potato/hash browns were good though, crispy and flavorful. Absolutely not worth $15overall would not recommend the place far too crowded and expensive for the experience.

Delicious food work a great environment even during COVID. Pre COVID they were always packed and for good reason. The portion sizes are quite large and more than enough for one person. The restaurant walls are covered with photos of community submitted dad photos through the ages.TLDR: Great place, great food, large portions.

Absolutely delicious! We had the redneck Benedict and the salmon sammy, they both were super nice.Bug portion, prefect seasoning and fresh ingredients. Would definitely try again.

The quality of food was amazing. Crowded because it is popular and small for its popularity. The menu was chalkboard only so you take a picture to study your choices.

Stopped in with family and had a BLT. Best one I've ever had. Husband had the BBQ and loved it. Great place - can't wait to go back.

Reminds me of breakfast on the farm when I was younger. All fresh homemade ingredients. Awesome vibe. Best place to fill the belly for the day.

The owner is very nice and he makes sure everyone is satisfied with their order. The food is excellent and you can get anything you want at any time of day. He cooks for the joy of cooking, quality and quantity. Most things on his menu are tried and true "like his Grammy used to make"

Great food and great staff. Don't let the meat-heavy menu fool you, either. They will turn out a beautiful veggie hash for you on request!

This local restaurant has its own characteristics: custom made spicy sauces, daddy pictures from customers on walls, friendly staff, delicious food...

Love the hash, even if you arent usually a fan of horseradish sauce their cream is really freaking good.

Good food made fresh. My husband had the house made hash, said it was really good. I had "Dad's Plate ", which included 2 eggs, choice of meat and choice of bread or biscuit. The service was a little slow, it was at least 15 minutes before our order was even taken. It took awhile for our food to arrive. But I do understand everything is made from scratch. A little spendy at $45.00 for two, for breakfast. I did have a mimosa. All a decent meal.

Wow, the house made pastrami is AMAZING! Can't wait to try more items off the very intriguing menu. We will be back?

This food is delicious! Everything is made from scratch, cooked perfectly. The meat is tender, the potatoes are crisp on the outside and soft inside. The service is fast. This is the type of restaurant that you want to try something new each time you come. YUM!!

I enjoyed my experience here so much to the point that even a year later I remember it. The owner is honestly one of the nicest and caring servers I have ever encountered! Just an all around nice person and welcoming environment. They were super happy to accommodate my food sensitivities and even have delicious local gf buns/bread . I plan on stopping by any time I find myself in Anacortes.

One of the best meals I've had. Great food, great people every time. A very enjoyable place to go and eat. Smoke and cook all their own meats which is hard to find in this state. One restaurant I will never get tired of. Will return again and again and again.

Had many friends tell me I should try Dad's. Ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork with Memphis style sauce and it was amazing. My wife ordered the same but with the Carolina sauce. The BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich was outstanding. Service was amazing and I will definitely be going again. Tried the Jojo that came with the sandwich in both the Carolina and Memphis sauce and was amazing. Next time I go I'm going to see if I can get both styles.

Wonderful staff. Very educated on celiac and the kitchen stops cooking everything else when cooking the GF food to help avoid cross contamination. Hamburgers and buns are delicious! Their breakfast potatoes are a great delicious alternative to French fries and their homemade mayonnaise is GF as well. Highly recommend for GF yummy food!

A fantastic local place if you're looking for a good size, hearty meal that will fill you up. Also excellent quality and flavorful options! My husband and I enjoyed the breakfast hash's!! The waiter was attentive, kind and the slight mistake with our meal was taken care of. You can see why this is place is full to overflowing! If we come back through this area we will stop!

The fried rice is actually pretty good. The pork belly was very tender and tasty. The sauce made the fried rice a bit too sweet (but I’m sensitive to sweet stuff). The asparagus is the rice is delicious.

stop in here every couple of years for breakfast while visiting family in the area. always have a great meal here. our friendly waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and area. definitely made meal enjoyable. definitely will be back. maybe next time for lunch. the hash with pork belly was AWESOME.

I’ve been on a quest to find the best burger in Washington, and I feel as though my quest ends here.The burger was big and tasted amazing, juicy, cooked to perfection. I’m sad I live so far away, cause I’d be here every day otherwise.Also, the staff made us feel like we were having lunch at dad’s house, and I loved that. Check this place out!

We had a pretty long wait to get a table. Which to me is a sign that the food is good. We were greeted by our server immediately after getting settled in. The food was delicious and the portion size was big! Definitely recommend stopping in.

It can get somewhat crowded but if you're simply looking for great food, this is the place! Very customizable and everything tasted home cooked and very fresh. Loved it!!

The service was good, but our food was not even ok, nearly burnt potatoes, the sausage side is really a hamburger patty, overpriced for the quality of food. The worse part was having to wait for an hour to be disappointed ☹️.

If you eat here you will be comparing this food to every place after and find them wanting. The customer service was superb (and, I think that might be an understatement). The Significant Other had their salmon and even though she had been eating a lot of salmon recently was blown away (her words were Utterly Fabulous) by how good it was here. Their gravy was a meat lover's dream come true. I almost wish I lived in the area so I could continue eating here more often.

You can expect excellent service and high quality food at Dad's. I had a very good tasting and unique salad, homage to a special local. I would recommend that they add at least one more vegetarian and vegan options, other than salad. For the area, it's kind of expected.

Quirky ambience. Kind of fun looking at all the "dad" photos on the walls. Limited menu posted daily on a chalkboard. Food was good but not great. We were there for breakfast. Service was very good.

Loved the late breakfast we had here at dad's! We cannot wait to come back and try the rest of their house made meats and sauces ! 😍 I had the house hash and added their pulled pork to the mix. I've been craving it ever since.

Best Burger in Washington! And then there's the Breakfast... totally awesome. But you can't come here because then it will be harder for me to get in.

8/31/19 - Wow! Came in for breakfast again but was swaded towards lunch this time, I had the philly and Wow excellent, my sweet love had the French toast excellent as well. Glad we live in Anacortes.7/1/19 - Excellent again this time we tried the biscuit & gravy and oh my so, so delicious, I even went back and got more gravy since I had an extra biscuit I didn't eat. Yummy, great service as well.If you live in Anacortes or are visiting this diner is a must.Alway so good. This is the best place for me and my sweetie to share breakfast.We tend to split the hash and a pancake.We also enjoy the BQ stand they have as well further south off Commercial St.The menu when you go in is off to your right on a chalkboard, you may have to look over someone, people are use to it.Good coffee, good food, welcoming environment. A great place to eat and bring visitors.

Just...fabulous! The food and choices...the more than friendly and accommodating staff. My friends and I enjoyed EVERYTHING about this place...including the funky decor and menu!! AND...Awesome sculpture cupcakes!!

Everyone that works here is incredibly nice and the food is amazing. We highly recommend the chilaquiles with a side order of a homemade biscuit and jam. Dad’s is our go-to Sunday brunch place for my husband and I. Not to mention, it’s Got a really unique interior! Highly recommend!!!!

Holey Moley, huge pancake. For reference, my fork only covers the radius, like A second hand on a clock--wow! Great food, great service. Bacon was medium thick--good stuff.
